Synopsis

Roland is an easygoing chap who makes his living as a bee-keeper. At a barbecue he meets Marianne, a warm, intelligent, and witty woman who works at Sussex University in the field of quantum cosmology. They go for a drink, or perhaps they don't. They fall madly in love and start dating, but eventually they break up. After a chance encounter in a supermarket they get back together, or maybe they run into each other and Marianne reveals that she's now engaged to someone else and that's that. Or perhaps Roland is engaged. Maybe they get married, or maybe their time together will be tragically short.

Nick Payne's Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it's also about quantum multiverse theory, love, and honey.

Sinopsi

Roland és un noi tranquil que es guanya la vida com a apicultor. En una barbacoa coneix a Marianne, una dona càlida, intel·ligent i enginyosa que treballa a la Universitat de Sussex, en el camp de la cosmologia quàntica. Ells van a prendre una copa, o potser no. Ells s’enamoren bojament i comencen a sortir, però al cap d’un temps se separen. Després d’una trobada casual en un supermercat, tornen a estar junt; o potser Marianne revela que ara està compromesa amb un altre i això és tot. O potser en Roland està compromès. Potser es casen, o potser el seu temps junts serà tràgicament curt.
Constellations de Nick Payne és una obra de teatre sobre el lliure albir i l’amistat. També, és una història sobre la teoria quàntica de multiversos, sobre l’amor i mel.
